About the Role Avenga is seeking a Data Science Engineer to develop and enhance the core AI engine behind an advanced AI assistant, focusing on Agentic AI, RAG, LLM orchestration, and high-quality answers. You will design and improve intelligent workflows, optimize retrieval quality, and ensure that AI-generated responses are accurate, grounded, and production-ready. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable AI services and contribute to evolving modern AI solutions.
What You'll Do
- Develop and enhance core engine behind an advanced AI assistant focusing on Agentic AI, RAG, LLM orchestration, and answer quality.
- Design and improve intelligent workflows, optimize retrieval quality, ensure production-ready AI responses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable AI services; evaluate system performance; contribute to evolution of modern AI solutions.
- Demonstrate strong communication, ownership, proactive problem-solving and collaborative mindset in fast-paced environment.
What We're Looking For
- Strong Gen AI focus with Master degree in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science; deep knowledge of AI/ML, data science and telecom.
- Knowledge of GenAI: LLM (essential) and text2image (nice2have).
- Knowledge of Agentic AI, vector Databases, RAG systems, chunking methods.
- Knowledge of at least one of the popular LLM frameworks: Langraph, Langchain, Llamaindex, AutoGen, and PydanticAI.
- Knowledge of building and deploying AI solutions (using Python, API, MCP, SQL and Git is essential; Docker, Github Runners and Airflow are a nice to have).
- Knowledge of deploying solutions on AWS and on-prem.
- 3-6 years’ experience as (Senior) Data Scientist.
- Knowledge of the Google AI stack for Natural language processing is a plus.
