Job title: Data Migration Architect

About the Role Lead the design and implementation of healthcare data migrations using Light-it's Data Migration Accelerator, ensuring deployments run on customers' own infrastructure with secure, compliant, and scalable migrations. You will own the architecture, develop custom connectors and complex clinical logic in Python, and drive data integrity, auditing, and PHI protection throughout the migration lifecycle.

What You'll Do

• Architect and implement migrations on customer infrastructure using the Data Migration Accelerator.
• Build and customize pre-built connectors for EHRs, CRMs, and RCM systems; create new connectors as needed.
• Implement advanced clinical rules and data transformations in Python to preserve data integrity across healthcare systems.
• Ensure PHI masking, encryption in transit and at rest, and auditability across migrations to meet HIPAA and compliance requirements.
• Build reliable, scalable migrations with safe retries, data batching, and high-performance execution.
• Provide automated post-migration validation and reconciliation reports to verify data integrity.
• Own the System: run on the customer’s cloud provider account; no recurring SaaS fees; own the code.
• Support phased, big-bang, and incremental migrations, with accommodation for ongoing data synchronization if required.

What We're Looking For

• Experience delivering healthcare data migrations or data integration projects (EHR/CRM/RCM) and healthcare data interoperability.
• Strong Python skills with the ability to implement complex clinical logic and transformations.
• Knowledge of PHI masking/anonymization, encryption in transit and at rest, and HIPAA compliance; robust auditing practices.
• Experience with ETL pipelines, data mappings, and validation of data integrity.
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability formats (FHIR and HL7) and native parsing/mapping.
• Experience building connectors for EHRs/CRMs/RCMs or designing custom connectors; comfortable deploying in customer-owned environments.
• Ability to own and operate the codebase after engagement and work collaboratively with clients.

Nice to Have

• Direct experience with FHIR/HL7 interoperability workflows and data exchanges.
• Prior exposure to PHI masking/anonymization techniques and secure data handling at scale.
• Familiarity with healthcare systems integration and modern Python tooling.
