About the Role An experienced Data Expert / Data Strategist is needed to join a strategic data management initiative supporting a major EU Municipality. You will help define and execute data strategies, establish governance frameworks, manage enterprise data assets, and enable data-driven decision-making across multiple public-sector projects. The role offers a high degree of autonomy and requires translating business goals into effective data management, governance, and analytics practices. What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain enterprise-wide data strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with business leaders, stakeholders, and technical teams to identify data-related requirements and opportunities.
- Define and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Design and optimize data management processes, data models, and storage solutions.
- Oversee data quality initiatives, including data cleansing, validation, and quality monitoring.
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and act on insights to inform decisions across projects. What We're Looking For
- Senior / Expert level (equivalent to GCM6+).
- German language B2+ (documentation and communication are conducted in German).
- Location: Warsaw, Poland; Remote with occasional business travel to Germany, if requested.
- Ability to work autonomously with a high degree of ownership across multiple public-sector projects.
- Experience in developing and implementing data governance, data management, and analytics strategies.
- Knowledge of data protection, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong collaboration with business leaders, stakeholders, and technical teams to translate business goals into data solutions.
