Data Entry Clerk
We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support documentation processing within a medical devices environment in Franklin, Tennessee. This Contract position focuses on collecting, organizing, and validating clinical and funding-related records so files are complete, accurate, and ready for review within required timelines. The ideal candidate brings strong typing skills, careful attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple documentation requests while maintaining data integrity.
Responsibilities

Contact medical providers to obtain required clinical and supporting records, ensuring requested materials are received within payer deadlines.

Organize incoming documentation such as progress reports, prescriptions, examination records, letters of medical necessity, and specialist evaluations for accurate file completion.

Review medical documentation thoroughly to confirm alignment with policy requirements before records are entered into the system.

Identify each document correctly, assign appropriate labels, and verify key details prior to saving information in the electronic medical record.

Enter numeric and text-based information with a high level of accuracy while maintaining consistent record quality.

Monitor items requiring funding-related follow-up and take prompt action to help prevent processing delays.

Track outstanding documentation requests and follow up consistently with provider offices to support timely case completion.

Maintain complete and orderly digital records while upholding confidentiality and documentation standards.

Experience performing high-volume data entry with strong speed and accuracy.

Ability to review documents carefully and detect missing, inconsistent, or incorrectly categorized information.

Proficiency with computer-based data entry systems and electronic record management.

Strong typing skills and comfort entering both numeric and text data.

Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple active files at once.

Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with medical providers.

Prior experience in healthcare, medical documentation, or regulated administrative support is preferred.
