About the Role Susquehanna is seeking an experienced Quantitative Data Engineer to join our Prediction Markets team. You will design, code, and maintain next-gen analysis and trading platforms, partnering with quantitative researchers and developers to source, cleanse data, and build robust data pipelines that support trading strategies.
What You'll Do
- Source and cleanse data, develop and maintain data pipelines as required by quant research and trading
- Design, code, and deploy interactive and packaged reports that influence trading strategies
- Research new trading opportunities
- Performance-tune existing applications and data flows to enable efficient processing of large data sets
What We're Looking For
- Experience with numeric data storage methodologies and processing of large and varied data sets
- Ability to understand mathematical algorithms and develop high-performance implementations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with traders, quantitative analysts, and other software developers
- Strong proficiency in the Python data stack (NumPy, pandas) and a solid understanding of Agile development methodologies
- Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, and Cloud Computing is highly desired
- Education: PhD/MS/BS in Computer Science or a related STEM field or equivalent practical experience at the senior level
- Interest in sports wagering, trading, and technology; previous experience in Trading, Sports Analytics or Sports Wagering industries is highly preferred
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to adapt to changing priorities
Nice to Have
- Prior experience within Trading, Sports Analytics or Sports Wagering industries is highly preferred
- Familiarity with in-house software development on modern platforms
