About the Role
Join a newly established technology centre in Kuala Lumpur as a Data Engineer supporting a leading bank in Asia. You will help deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation by developing and centralising data systems as part of the Technology and Operations function.
What You'll Do
- Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support banking operations and analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, planning support and services) to deliver data-driven solutions.
- Develop, centralise and standardise data models and data governance practices, ensuring data quality, security and regulatory compliance.
- Support data platforms and infrastructure within the Kuala Lumpur technology centre, contributing to technology transformation and growth initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in data engineering with ability to work in cross-functional teams in a banking/financial services environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
