Job title: Data Engineer - Data & Analytics
About the Role SDG Group is a global data, analytics and AI consultancy. You will be an active member of the team, contributing to the development and execution of Data & Analytics projects, collaborating in all phases: technical-functional definition, ETL, data modeling, visualization and training, ensuring success up to final deployment.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute projects, collaborating in all phases: technical-functional definition, ETL, data modeling, visualization and trainings, ensuring success in each phase until final deployment.
- Work daily with SQL databases, data modeling with ETL tools, and data warehouse environments primarily in the cloud (AWS, GCP or Microsoft).
- Develop data ingestion and transformation processes from diverse sources (APIs, files, databases, streaming) and integrate them into Cloud solutions.
- Collaborate in defining cloud architectures, combining cloud services and other integration and automation components.
- Stay abreast of the latest tech trends, especially in Data & Analytics, continuously learning and exploring new tools and innovations.
- Attend client meetings to gather requirements and review project progress, actively participating in day-to-day activities.
- Participate in internal and external training on relevant tools for the team.
- Integrate into SDG culture, contributing to a collaborative and efficient environment.
- Engage in daily company and team dynamics.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent; or a higher Vocational Training (Ciclo Superior) or similar.
- At least 3 years of experience in data platforms involved in all phases of Data & Analytics projects.
- Advanced Python for ingestion pipelines and complex logic, including dbt models.
- Solid experience with dbt (modeling, tests, sources, documentation, best practices).
- Knowledge of dbt macros.
- Very strong SQL and analytical data modeling skills.
- Version control with Git and CI/CD workflows to deploy models.
- Experience with ETL/ELT data transformation in cloud environments (AWS, GCP or Microsoft) is highly valued.
- Consulting experience is a plus for quicker integration into our agile, collaborative company.
- Strong communication, analytical and business-oriented mindset; proactive.
- English language ability is a plus.

- Experience in consulting (valorable for easier integration).
- Interest in staying up to date with new tools and innovations in Data & Analytics.
