About this role
Job title: Data Engineer - Cloud / ELT (dbt, Snowflake)
About the Role SDG Group is seeking a Data Engineer to design and develop data models in dbt, build and optimize Snowflake pipelines, and contribute to modern analytic architectures (ELT). You'll collaborate with business, BI and analytics teams to translate needs into robust analytics models and help advance our data-driven transformation.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop dbt models, applying modularization, documentation, tests and metadata-driven transformations.
- Build and optimize Snowflake pipelines, handling large data volumes with performance, scalability and cost control in mind.
- Contribute to the design of modern analytical architectures (ELT), implementing dimensional models (Kimball) and structures optimized for reporting and advanced analytics.
- Implement automated testing, data quality checks and code versioning, following engineering practices (Git, CI/CD, dev/prod environments).
- Collaborate with business, BI and analytics stakeholders to translate requirements into robust analytical models.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the data framework: modeling standards, conventions, query optimization and best practices in Snowflake and dbt.
What We're Looking For
- Between 3 and 6 years of experience as a Data Engineer in cloud environments.
- Solid hands-on experience with dbt (models, macros, tests, sources, documentation, refactoring).
- Practical Snowflake experience (modeling, performance tuning, clustering, logical partitioning, role and warehouse management).
- Knowledge of dimensional modeling (Kimball) and designing analytic data marts.
- Experience with modern ELT approaches.
- Strong advanced SQL skills (optimization, CTEs, window functions, query tuning).
- Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative environments.
- English proficiency sufficient for international projects.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms/tools such as Databricks, AWS, and GCP; experience with Microsoft technologies is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary aligned with your education and experience.
- Hybrid work model with flexibility; depending on location, 100% remote is possible.
- Flexible schedule: shorter Fridays and summer hours (July and August).
- Support for remote work (teleworking allowance).
- Continuous learning: official certifications, conferences, workshops, and courses.
- Flexible benefits: meal vouchers, childcare vouchers, transportation allowance and private medical insurance with Mapfre for you and your family.
- Stable role with growth and merit-based career progression; opportunities to specialize technically or move into leadership/management.
