Job Title: Data Engineer 3
Location: Boise, Idaho (Remote)
Role Overview
We are seeking Data Engineer contractors for a Databricks migration project. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data solutions, working collaboratively with various teams to ensure the integrity and functionality of reporting systems while adhering to corporate policies and privacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities

Design and implement Databricks ingestion processes from different source types.

Design and build silver and gold tables in Databricks based on existing solutions in Microsoft SQL Server.

Collaborate with Business Intelligence analysts and developers to design and build silver and gold tables.

Prepare for and participate in design and code reviews according to established design standards.

Participate in testing methodologies to ensure the functionality and integrity of reporting solutions.

Troubleshoot and resolve errors and solve complex technical problems.

Ensure adherence to corporate policies and privacy regulations like HIPAA.

Communicate discoveries, collaborate on problem-solving, and share lessons learned from migrations.

Required Qualifications
-
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of related experience.
Technical Skills:
-
Proficient in SQL, including writing queries, creating tables, and performing updates with Transact SQL and DB SQL.

Experience writing ETL with Azure Databricks, DBSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Transact SQL, and SSIS.
-
Experience ingesting data from various sources such as RDBMS, XML files, JSON files, flat files, and APIs.

Experience with database management systems, including performance optimization, tuning, and security.

Experience with data warehousing methodologies and data model development.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Power BI is a plus.

Experience with Health Catalyst is a plus.

Experience with Epic is a plus.
