Job title: Data Domain Manager
About the Role The Data Domain Manager oversees all data-related activities within a given business domain, ensuring alignment with enterprise governance and enabling business-led data initiatives. The role drives transformation through domain-wide coordination, fosters strong business ownership, and establishes robust data foundations to ensure data quality, accessibility, and trust across Business, Data, and IT.
What You'll Do
- Oversee Domain Data Activities: Maintain a unified view of all data initiatives to ensure alignment, prioritization, and coordination across the domain (Delivery, MDM, Data Quality, Training, etc.), in close collaboration with Business, IT, and other stakeholders.
- Enable Business Ownership: Support business teams in owning their data roadmap and delivery, providing structure and guidance without taking over execution, ensuring transfer to the target operating model.
- Ensure Alignment with Central Governance: Act as the relay of enterprise data governance, ensuring standards, policies, and frameworks are implemented, specific roles established to enable data governance.
- Drive Data Transformation Foundations: Ensure the domain has the right data foundations (quality, definitions, lineage, controls, processes, roles) to support transformation initiatives.
- Coordinate Stakeholders, Animate Key Committees: Facilitate interactions between Business, Data, and IT teams to reduce fragmentation and improve efficiency within the domain and across dependent domains.
- Promote Data Quality & Trust: Ensure data quality practices are in place and consistently applied across the domain.
- Continuously Improve Data Accessibility: Drive initiatives that make data easier to find, understand, and use (catalog, documentation, shared definitions), and easier to access (e.g., DataViz solutions), in close collaboration with delivery teams.
- Drive & Monitor Adoption: Define success metrics, track usage and impact, identify gaps, and implement training/change management to embed solutions in day-to-day operations.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Information Systems, Data, or a related field; additional certifications in Digital Transformation, Data Management, Analytics, Product Management, or Change Management are a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in data-related initiatives, business transformation, digital transformation, or consulting.
- Experience working across Business, Data and Technology teams in a complex international environment.
- Experience managing change/business transformation related to data initiatives and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to simplify complex situations and translate them into clear business decisions and actions.
- Structured, analytical, and outcome-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with logistics, supply chain, transportation, commercial or support function processes is a strong advantage.
