Data Director

About the Role As a Data Director at Valtech, you’ll help organisations define future-state data ecosystems, modernise cloud and data platforms, unlock AI opportunities and build scalable capabilities that drive long-term growth. You’re a consulting leader who thrives in complex enterprise environments, turning data, AI and technology into measurable business outcomes. You’ll stay close to delivery, shaping transformation roadmaps and guiding clients through large-scale change, while collaborating with architects, engineers and product teams to turn vision into reality. What You'll Do

• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams of strategists, architects, engineers, analysts, designers and consultants to unlock value through data, AI and modern digital platforms.
• Lead end-to-end capability from strategy, discovery and advisory through to architecture, delivery and optimisation; balance business ambition with technical feasibility to deliver measurable outcomes.
• Facilitate C-suite conversations, shape transformation roadmaps, and guide clients through large-scale change, maintaining a relentless focus on value.
• Connect business objectives, customer needs, operations, technology and data to design scalable solutions that span organisations, not just individual systems.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, identify growth opportunities and contribute to new business development; mentor and develop consultants, architects and engineers across the wider practice.
• Adapt your approach to different client environments while maintaining a focus on value and impact. What We're Looking For
• Proven consulting leadership in complex enterprise environments; ability to facilitate C-suite conversations and shape roadmaps.
• Strong strategic thinking with hands-on technical credibility in data, AI and cloud platforms.
• Ability to connect business objectives, customer needs, operations, technology and data to design scalable, value-driven solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills; mentoring and developing teams.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity, bringing structure and a clear path forward across sectors including financial services, retail, automotive, media, healthcare, public sector and consumer brands.
• Experience turning data, AI and technology into measurable business outcomes and leading cross-functional teams. Nice to Have
• Experience leading data and AI strategy at scale in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI opportunities and modern data platforms.
• Ability to translate business goals into tangible delivery outcomes; strong communication to C-suite.
