About the Role
The Data Center Operations Manager will lead global server hardware operations for Google, driving progress and reliability in the data center ecosystem. You will apply your extensive experience in computing infrastructure to solve problems and mentor junior team members.
What You'll Do

Lead and coordinate data center operations for global server hardware

Drive progress, solve complex problems, and mentor junior team members

Apply deep expertise in computing infrastructure, networking, operating systems, or hardware

Manage vendor and contract delivery, and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Coordinate non-standard work hours including weekends, night shifts, holidays, and shift-based schedules as required

Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements to uptime and efficiency

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience

5 years of experience in computing infrastructure, networking, operating systems, or hardware
-
2 years of experience managing technical teams, vendor or contract management and delivery
-
Ability to work non-standard hours and on shift-based schedules (weekends, nights, holidays)

Strong problem-solving, communication, and mentoring abilities
