About the Role
Amazon Web Services is seeking a motivated Data Center Logistics Manager to oversee multiple spare parts rooms located in staffed and unstaffed data centers. The role focuses on analyzing and continuously improving methods, controls, staffing, and ensuring accurate, timely inventory movement across data centers to meet customer needs and business goals. You will lead a diverse team and partner across AWS to uphold safety, security, and cost efficiency.
What You'll Do

Lead Logistics Operations to run smoothly across data centers; build productivity plans; partner with other Logistics Managers to balance labor; determine timelines; remove roadblocks; ensure quality standards.

Act as primary point of contact for communication and escalation with internal and external teams/customers; develop team strategies, vision and goals aligned with the broader organization; ensure compliance with legislation and policy; manage information flow; create recognition programs.

Manage staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, performance levels and process change initiatives; facilitate team coordination and growth; distribute new opportunities; hold regular 1:1s; open new requisitions and drive internal hires.

Champion continuous improvement by standardizing processes, contributing to deployment plans, and teaching others to create documents, processes, tools and metrics; conduct post-deployment evaluations to measure launch effectiveness; advise teams on process improvement strategies.

What We're Looking For

Basic Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent

1+ years of logistics operations experience
-
2+ years of shipping & receiving, inventory and warehousing practices experience
-
5+ years of work in a management position with 5 or more direct reports

Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience managing inventory in warehousing, retail or distribution setting
-
Experience in transportation operations and industry knowledge

Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
-
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems

Nice to Have

Experience with continuous improvement methodologies

Experience with deployment planning and measuring launch effectiveness

Ability to document processes, tools and metrics reflecting outcomes
