Job title: Data Center Infrastructure Engineer
About the Role Canonical is hiring a Data Center Infrastructure Engineer to build and maintain MAAS test labs in the Toronto area. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of our lab, used for Ubuntu server certification of US-based silicon and server designs.
What You'll Do
- Use software to deploy and configure servers and network switches to operate the data centre and update its configuration.
- Manage the Toronto lab on a day-to-day basis, ensuring hardware and cabling are organized and inventoried.
- Handle hardware deliveries and their onboarding and commissioning.
What We're Looking For
- Based in Toronto and able to work on-site at the lab.
- Experience with data center infrastructure, lab operations, and hardware inventory management.
- Familiarity with MAAS or similar deployment/configuration tools and with configuring servers and network switches.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain hardware, cabling, and inventory; able to manage hardware deliveries and commissioning.
- Interest or experience with Ubuntu server certification workflows is a plus.
