About the Role
The Data Center Embedded Tech Specialist II will lead the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of access control and CCTV systems within data center environments, ensuring integrated, secure, and high-availability operations. This role involves substantial travel across Johor, other Malaysian states, Singapore, and overseas as needed.
What You'll Do
- Lead installation and configuration of access control and CCTV systems
- Ensure seamless integration of components for reliable functionality
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and respond to service requests
- Implement preventive measures to minimize system downtime
- Operate in accordance with data center protocols and security measures
- Maintain accurate documentation and generate comprehensive reports
- Travel to support work/projects across Johor, Malaysia, Singapore, and overseas as required
What We're Looking For
- Education: minimum technical diploma or relevant certification in electronics, IT, or related field
- Experience: 5-10 years relevant; proven lead technician in ACS and CCTV systems; strong troubleshooting expertise
- Technical Skills: installation, configuration, programming, commissioning, and servicing ACS and CCTV systems; knowledge of network infrastructure and data center data communication; basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
- Leadership: ability to lead/mentor technicians; strong communication and collaboration
- Problem-solving: analytical mindset; proactive troubleshooting and system optimization
- Flexibility: ability to adapt to changing project requirements; willingness to work outside regular hours when needed
Nice to Have
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus
