Data Center Category Manager, Data Center Sourcing & Procurement

About the Role Amazon is seeking a motivated and data-driven procurement category manager to support the Americas data center construction space. The role involves creating and implementing sourcing strategies within construction services, collaborating with internal partners and suppliers to drive efficiencies, reduce risks, and costs, and developing mechanisms to hold suppliers accountable for performance and delivery. You will drive results through competitive bidding, negotiation, and data-driven market analysis, with a long-term, strategic, global perspective and the ability to operate autonomously. What You'll Do

• Create and implement sourcing strategies within the construction services category for data center projects.
• Collaborate with internal business partners and suppliers to drive efficiencies, reduce risks, and lower costs.
• Develop metrics and governance mechanisms to hold suppliers accountable for performance and on-time delivery.
• Lead large-scale procurement improvement projects and drive continuous process improvements.
• Manage competitive bidding, negotiations, and data-driven market trend analyses.
• Dive deep into product, business and competitive landscape; communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Work with teams across AWS data center capacity planning, safety, and operations; balance short-term urgencies with long-term strategies.
• Build scalable processes and leverage smart technologies to drive adoption. What We're Looking For
