About this role
Job title: Data Architect
About the Role As our Data Architect, you will design the strategic blueprint for Holafly's enterprise data infrastructure, bridging business goals with elite technical execution. Your architecture will enable real-time data, modern cloud systems, and scalable data platforms to power global connectivity.
What You'll Do
- Design and scale our enterprise data architecture across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), optimizing data lakes, BigQuery warehouses, and event-driven infrastructure.
- Architect robust ELT pipelines using dbt to deliver modular, well-tested data models.
- Drive programmatic solutions with Python to automate third-party API ingestion and build orchestration frameworks.
- Enable low-latency analytics by designing real-time streaming pipelines with Dataflow, Pub/Sub, or Kafka for operational use cases.
- Develop secure data APIs and microservices for efficient, scalable data consumption across internal apps and external partners.
- Establish enterprise data governance and security standards while providing technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of senior-level experience as a Data Architect, Modeler, or Lead Engineer with a degree in a quantitative or technical field.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python for data processing, pipeline orchestration, and API development (e.g., FastAPI).
- Deep hands-on experience with GCP analytics (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Composer) and real-time processing (Dataflow).
- Advanced experience with dbt (Core or Cloud) for building scalable, test-driven dimensional data models.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate cloud architecture strategies for non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Google Cloud Certifications (Professional Data Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect).
- Practical experience with Data Mesh or Lakehouse architectures.
Compensation & Benefits
- 25 Days of PTO
- 5% pension contribution
- €3000 for Medical/Health coverage
- Self development budget of $500
