Position Overview
-
The Analyst II, Data Analysis will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets to derive actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role requires a skilled data analyst with strong analytical abilities, a deep understanding of statistical methods, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for leveraging data to drive business outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze large and complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop and implement statistical models and algorithms to solve business problems.
- Validate and refine models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Create clear and compelling data visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Prepare and present regular reports on data analysis outcomes to senior leadership.
- Develop dashboards and other tools to enable self-service data access for business users.
- Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with data engineers and IT teams to design and implement data pipelines and workflows.
- Ensure data is properly stored, organized, and accessible for analysis.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and finance, to support data-driven decision-making.
- Provide training and support to team members on data analysis and visualization best practices.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analysis.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions.
- Attends company training and regional training in area of expertise. Presents own work to members of department.
What You’ll Bring to Zelis:

Typically has Bach. +2-3 yrs; Masters +0 yrs

Requires proficiency using AI tools skillfully with an understanding of how to develop/create intelligent prompts and/or agents.

Fluency with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel).

Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

Healthcare claims editing experience a plus.

Understanding of statistics and data modeling preferred.

Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience presenting findings to senior leadership team

Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.

Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms.

Certification in data analysis or related fields.

Zelis is headquartered in the U.S., with multiple locations across the country and in Hyderabad, India. Check out our locations to learn more about our offices. All employee work locations are based on the needs of the position and are determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities vary based on work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.

While location expectations vary by role, candidates within approximately 50 miles of a U.S. office are generally preferred to support collaboration when needed. Our hybrid approach is flexible, and in-office presence is guided by team and business needs rather than a fixed weekly schedule.

Salary Range

$71,000.00 - $90,250.00

At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages. The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors, including experience, education, qualifications, as well as job-related and industry-related knowledge and skills, etc. Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.
