About the Role
Data Analyst, Mandarin Translations is part of the Translations department within the Documents Insights and Services domain of S&P Global's Market Intelligence division. The role translates Mandarin and English financial documents, ensuring quality, accuracy, and appropriate style and tone, while supporting research and knowledge sharing across internal teams.
What You'll Do
- Convert/translate/localize high-level financial documents between Mandarin and English, ensuring exceptional quality, style, and tone.
- Conduct primary and secondary research to collect financial information and stay current with market knowledge, supporting strategic goals and client products.
- Ensure timely and accurate resolution of internal and external queries; provide rigorous QA for translated materials.
- Contribute to language glossaries, dictionaries, translation memories, and style guides; participate in testing new tools and process improvements.
- Deliver on predefined individual and team targets; develop expertise in translation and financial market trends within a global, multicultural team.
- All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5+ years of experience in data analysis or translation within a financial context.
- Proficiency or native Mandarin and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills; familiarity with Chinese financial markets.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and financial concepts, statements, key ratios, and market data.
- Proven analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and advanced proficiency in internet research and Microsoft Office 365.
- External candidates must attend at least one in-person interview at the nearest S&P Global office before an offer.
- Indefinite right to work in the United States.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary determined by geographic location and experience; numeric range not disclosed in the posting.
