Our Gaming Data Engineering team is growing. We are looking for an Associate Data Architect to join us and help deliver our vision of creating a safer yet cutting-edge gaming experience for every person and organization on the planet.
As Data Analyst you will support the design and evolution of our data architecture, working closely with senior architects and engineers to translate business requirements into scalable data models. A successful candidate will have a strong sense of problem solving, teamwork, accountability, and the ability to understand business functions and requirements, while growing their skills in architectural design and navigating competing priority tradeoffs.

- Apply growing knowledge of the business to help design data models and translate business requirements into design specifications governing the flow and storage of data across systems.
- Assist in evaluating data platforms, tools, and technologies, providing input on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Help document data architecture standards, best practices, and design patterns for engineering teams to follow.
- Partner with data engineers to support the implementation of data pipelines, helping ensure designs support accuracy, validity, and reliability of data.
- Identify opportunities to improve data tools and processes used to transform, manage, and access data sources.
- Support performance monitoring and data quality efforts across pipelines and systems.
- Assist in root cause analysis for architectural issues and help design solutions to prevent recurring points of failure, escalating complex problems to senior architects as needed.
- Support data governance efforts, working with designated privacy teams to help ensure data modeling and handling procedures are compliant with laws and policies.
- Prepare clear, accurate documentation for architectural designs and specifications.
- Build trust and rapport with stakeholders and engineering teams across the organization.
- Actively seek mentorship and apply feedback to grow technical and architectural skills.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
To Be Successful, You Will Have:
- BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related quantitative discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or a related field, with exposure to data modeling or architecture concepts.
- Working knowledge of data modeling principles and hands-on experience with a combination of languages and tools including but not limited to SQL, C#, Kusto, Cosmos, Microsoft Visual Studio, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Snowflake (or similar).
- Interest in growing toward a data architecture specialization, with willingness to learn from senior architects.
- Proficiency in navigating GIT in the work environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-driven, meticulous, and curious in nature.
- Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with desire to learn and master new technologies.
In Return, You Can Expect:
- Direct mentorship from senior data architects and engineers to help grow your career.
- Hands-on exposure to enterprise-level data architecture in a growing global gaming division.
- A collaborative, cross-functional environment working alongside product, engineering, and business leaders.
- Competitive compensation and benefits package.
- Flexible/hybrid work arrangements.
- Clear pathways for growth into more senior architecture roles.
- The chance to contribute to the data foundation that powers safer, cutting-edge gaming experiences worldwide.
