Job title: Data Analyst

About the Role Data analyst with a strong technical foundation to support adjoe's Anti-Fraud platform by building insights, validating anomalies, and enabling scalable data-driven decision making. You’ll work across SQL, Python and end-to-end data pipelines to help ensure authentic reward attribution at scale.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze and transform data using SQL and Python, write complex queries, optimize big data processes, and build analysis pipelines
  • Work on anomaly detection approaches (clustering, distribution analysis, cross-population comparison) and help balance sensitivity with business impact
  • Design and interpret experiments, reason about statistics, and apply core concepts to decision making
  • Understand the full data systems and flows: architecture, tradeoffs, and why components were built as they are
  • Build reusable frameworks and automated pipelines (Airflow/dbt strong plus) to improve data visibility and cross-team collaboration
  • Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Support real-time/daily processing as part of the Anti-Fraud systems infrastructure

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst with a strong technical foundation
  • Fluent in SQL and Python, capable of writing complex queries and data analyses
  • Experience with anomaly detection algorithms and approaches: clustering, distribution analysis, cross-population comparison
  • Statistically grounded: ability to design and interpret experiments, tests, and results
  • Systems thinking: understand architecture, tradeoffs, and rationale behind design decisions
  • Automation-minded: build reusable pipelines, data visibility solutions, and cross-team value; experience with Airflow or dbt is a strong plus
  • Collaborative and business-aware: translate insights into actionable recommendations and own your impact
  • Willingness to relocate to Hamburg, Germany; able to work with a global team
