Data Analyst

Aidn

About this role

Data Analyst

Oslo / Bergen / Bodø

Salary: 800 000 - 1 000 000 NOK/year

Why this role matters

Aidn has become the market leader in the municipal healthcare sector in Norway, and municipalities across the country are now being onboarded to our platform. That gives us something few companies have: the chance to change how an entire sector understands and uses its own data.

Today, most municipalities lack accessible, trustworthy insight into their own operational and clinical data. At the same time, they are facing an aging population that will put more pressure on their services every year. Good decisions will matter more than ever, and good decisions need good data.

Aidn Analytics is core to what we offer, but we are still early in defining what it will become. Whoever takes this role will help shape it from the ground up, at a time when AI is changing what insight work even looks like.

What you’ll be working on

As our Data Analyst, you will help Aidn and the municipalities make better decisions. You will build data products as part of your everyday work, and at the same time help set the standard for how data products get built across Aidn.

Your core responsibilities will include:

Building and maintaining analytics: Build the reports, dashboards, self-service tools, and data exports that municipalities and teams at Aidn rely on every day, with conversational analytics as an emerging capability.

Define what we measure: Defining metrics and balanced quality and performance indicators for the municipalities as well as for Aidn internally.

Working with municipalities: Working directly with municipal leadership and staff to translate operational and strategic questions into data products, and following up until those products are actually used.

Strengthening data literacy: both at Aidn and in the municipalities, by developing capabilities and training that enable users to be self-served and create value from our data products.

Setting the standard for how data products get built, including improving the developer experience supported by AI. Enabling others to build according to our best practices.

Supporting product teams and helping them move towards distributed data ownership where they create data products within their domain for internal and external purposes

Contributing to platform work, tooling adoption and the shared developer experience for insights work, and embedding in product teams when they need hands-on support

Who you are

We hire for attitude as much as for aptitude. Curiosity, ownership, and a collaborative spirit matter more than ticking every box.

That said, you’ll thrive here if you:

Have 3+ years of experience in a data analyst role or similar, with an analytical mindset and a good understanding of what it takes to succeed with analytics.

Have a strong analytical mindset, turning vague questions into answers that change decisions. You ask good questions and work in a structured way with data, while thinking creatively and pragmatically about how we meet user needs.

Write SQL independently at an advanced level, and have experience with modern data platforms (such as Databricks or Snowflake) and related tooling (such as dbt).

Are comfortable at both ends of the data value chain: you can bring in and model a new data source yourself, and you can also run a session with non-technical stakeholders to help them use and understand the data

Active use of AI in analytics work today, and curiosity about how AI, automation and new ways of working can raise the quality, speed and impact of what we deliver with data.

Have excellent communication skills, and have experience working with non-technical users and translating their needs, questions, and problems into data products

Experience from a product organisation, working in cross-functional teams where data products are built, shipped, and continuously improved.

Have built data products that people actually use in decision-making, and improved them over time.

A delivery-oriented, pragmatic approach, and the ability to take ownership and work independently in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment.

Fluent Norwegian (C1 level) for collaboration and testing with municipal users, and professional English for internal collaboration.

Our analytics stack is built on Databricks, dbt, and Metabase. Experience with dbt or a similar transformation tool is a plus, as is experience with a self-service reporting tool, some Python, Amplitude, or a background in healthtech, the public sector, or another regulated data environment. None of these are dealbreakers.

The Team

You will join our Data & Analytics team, a cross-functional team established in 2026 with a data engineer, a UX designer, two developers (including a tech lead) and a product manager. The team owns the shared data platform, the analytics capabilities and the overall Aidn Analytics experience. We aim for domain teams to own their analytical content; we own the platform, the governance and the holistic experience for anyone using or building analytics.

The team operates as its own product area and works closely with several product teams and our Infrastructure team.

Problems we’re working on right now include:

How do we build a modern data platform from a blank slate, with no legacy to migrate away from, in a way that will genuinely serve Aidn and the municipalities for years to come?

How do we help municipal care leaders move towards insight-based decisions, at both the strategic and operational levels, before the aging population wave hits?

How can AI and agents make data more accessible and understandable, both internally at Aidn and directly for municipal users?

How do we onboard many of Norway’s municipalities and shape a shared direction for Aidn Analytics together with them?

What success looks like

After 3 months: Ramped up on Aidn’s domain and data model, and has met key municipal users and product teams. Has delivered a few data products end-to-end, working with increasing independence. The first data products are in real use by real customers.

After 6 months: Owns reporting and analysis for a defined product or domain area. Known and trusted by power users in the municipalities, and the natural point of contact at Aidn for data products and insights in that area. Helps the team drive adoption of our data tooling.

After 12 months: Spots opportunities in the data and across Aidn, rather than just responding to requests. Has helped shape how the team defines and tracks success metrics, with a visible change in Aidn’s maturity as a data-driven organisation. Has made a visible contribution to municipalities’ adoption of self-service analytics.

Why you’ll love working here

High trust, real ownership. You’ll join a team with the freedom to explore challenging problems and own the results.

Visible impact. Your work will directly affect how healthcare professionals and municipalities across Norway do their jobs every day.

No legacy. You'll join a newly established team with no legacy, and the freedom to build great Data and Analytics experiences for our product teams and municipalities.

AI as a core tool. You'll actively incorporate AI into your work — experimenting with agentic tools, automating parts of your workflow, and helping define what responsible AI use looks like in Data & Analytics.
