About the Role
The Data Analyst 3 supports the UCSF Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy, and Sleep Medicine by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting a wide range of research data. This role designs and conducts research, analyzes data with established statistical methods, and prepares recommendations and clear visualizations to communicate findings.
What You'll Do
- Gather, analyze, and interpret diverse research data.
- Design and conduct research, including selecting data samples and developing research instruments; analyze collected information using established statistical methods.
- Develop recommendations based on findings and communicate results through reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids.
- Serve as a statistical analyst for the division, applying theory to practice and independently performing a full range of responsibilities.
- Use sound judgment to select methods and techniques to obtain solutions; collaborate with investigators and stakeholders as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Experienced professional with in-depth statistical analyses and/or research software programming techniques.
- Ability to apply theory to practice and independently perform the full range of responsibilities.
- Strong data interpretation, reporting, and visualization skills; capable of preparing reports, charts, and tables to communicate results.
- Good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for solving problems; ability to work in a healthcare/research setting.
