Job title: Cylinder Handler
About the Role The Cylinder Handler will load and unload gas cylinders and related products onto and from route trucks and trailers, using rolling techniques and a forklift. The role supports inventory accuracy, basic cylinder maintenance, and preparation of shipments. It involves completing routine and non-routine daily and weekly assignments as directed.
What You'll Do
- Load and unload gas cylinders and related products onto and from route trucks and trailers; move cylinders by rolling and by operating a forklift.
- Sort empty cylinders by type and check cylinder quantities, styles, and product specifications to support accurate inventory management.
- Review customer orders, pull required items from inventory, and load products onto trucks for delivery.
- Perform basic cylinder maintenance, including painting, labeling, and cleaning the work area.
- Assist with paperwork accompanying shipments.
- Complete routine and non-routine daily and weekly assignments as directed.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- More than one year (1+) experience in a plant or manufacturing environment.
- A strong mechanical background is desired.
- Good leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
