Job title: Cybersecurity Engineer
About the Role The Cybersecurity Engineer at Autoliv Brasov is responsible for deploying cybersecurity activities in accordance with ISO/SAE 21434 across the automotive product development lifecycle, in the context of safety-focused electronic systems.
What You'll Do
- Deploy cybersecurity activities following the V-cycle and product requirements; collect technical needs; create/update Cybersecurity plan; support system teams; manage Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) including CAL quotations; define cybersecurity goals; harmonize customer and internal requirements; develop Functional and Technical Cybersecurity Concepts and requirements; ensure traceability of customer needs; participate in system architecture for cybersecurity; support DFMECA and FTA; create and maintain cybersecurity case; participate in design reviews; evaluate cybersecurity aspects of design; verify CAL compliance.
- Apply cybersecurity engineering methods using tools (DOORS, Enterprise Architect, Item toolkits, Excel); manage configuration items and issue tracking.
- Evaluate and adopt new development methods: specify technical characteristics of components, μC, development tools; use formal specification, functional analysis, requirement verification; ensure quality with A-SPICE, CMMI, ISO26262, Autoliv checklists.
- Support cybersecurity development follow-up for projects: evaluate workload (PBS, WBS); produce detailed cybersecurity task progress reports; review customer and supplier CIA; develop cybersecurity activity plans; identify corrective actions; collect data for cybersecurity indicators; assist in defining cybersecurity-related tests.
- Ensure consistency of cybersecurity work-products: document according to Autoliv process; participate in reviews; support risk analysis; manage supplier agreements; integrate and release cybersecurity deliveries; assist system/software/hardware designers; contribute to traceability matrices and system development audits; participate in Change Control Board.
- Deploy cybersecurity activities in post-production (SoP to end-of-service): manage vulnerabilities, monitor incidents, deploy corrective actions per change management.
- Support RFQ phases and customer presentations: feasibility and cybersecurity considerations for next-generation embedded safety products.
- Train teammates and collaborate with customers and product development and sales teams to ensure correct understanding and implementation of requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Background in cybersecurity engineering with experience in developing embedded real-time systems; knowledge of ISO 21434; system engineering; hardware and software knowledge in embedded projects.
- Development methods for embedded systems; development quality constraints (SFEA/FMEA/FTA); encryption algorithm implementation and numerical computation.
- Proficiency with DOORS and related requirement management tools; ability to work across cross-functional teams.
