Job title: Cybersecurity Architect – Data Security & Sovereign Cloud

About the Role The Cybersecurity Architect – Data Security & Sovereign Cloud is a senior, customer-facing role responsible for consulting with global customers, architecting data protection solutions, and guiding implementation teams to deploy data security controls that enable data sovereignty across sovereign, private, and public cloud environments. This role collaborates with GRC, cloud, infrastructure, application, and delivery teams to establish scalable, compliant, and resilient data security architectures.

What You'll Do

• Act as a trusted cybersecurity advisor to customers, engaging with CISOs, Security Architects, Data Protection Officers, Cloud Architects, and Compliance leaders; translate data sovereignty, regulatory, and risk requirements into practical security architectures
• Design end-to-end data security architectures covering data discovery/classification, encryption (at rest, in transit, in use), key management (customer-managed keys, HSMs, BYOK/CMK models), tokenization, masking, and anonymization; implement database activity monitoring and access controls; architect solutions across sovereign cloud environments, private cloud (on-prem / hosted), and public clouds (Azure, AWS, GCP); align with data locality, jurisdictional controls, Zero Trust, and defense-in-depth
• Define and enforce data sovereignty models including control over data location, access, encryption keys, and administrators; ensure separation of duties across regions/legal entities; enable auditable controls and governance frameworks; support cloud migrations, hybrid integrations, and regional expansions
• Provide architectural direction and governance to implementation/delivery teams; review LLDs and security configurations; ensure solutions are secure by design, scalable, and operationally sustainable; assist in troubleshooting security/integration issues during deployment
• Collaborate with GRC & Enterprise Teams to translate regulatory/policy requirements into technical controls and support audits, assessments, and compliance reporting; engage with Cloud platform teams

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a senior, customer-facing cybersecurity role with global customers
• Deep expertise in data protection, sovereignty, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, local data protection laws); ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical security architectures
• Experience designing architectures across sovereign, private, and public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) with emphasis on data locality and jurisdictional controls; familiarity with Zero Trust and defense-in-depth
• Proficiency with data security technologies: encryption, key management, tokenization, masking, anonymization, data discovery/classification, and database activity monitoring
• Strong collaboration skills with GRC, cloud, infrastructure, application, and delivery teams; experience with audits, assessments, and compliance reporting
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills; ability to work across regions and legal entities
