About the Role MTSI is seeking a Senior Principal Cyber Security Engineer who specializes as an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support Wright-Patterson AFB. In this role, you will provide security engineering leadership for the integration and operation of sensitive information systems, ensuring compliance with RMF and DoD cybersecurity standards across programs. What You'll Do
- Lead ISSE activities including security planning, design reviews, and implementation of security controls for complex systems.
- Develop and maintain RMF artifacts, perform risk assessments, and support accreditation activities.
- Collaborate with program teams, government stakeholders, and other partners to ensure security requirements are met on schedule.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote secure engineering practices across teams. What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an ISSE or cybersecurity engineer on DoD/defense-related programs.
- Strong understanding of RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and system security engineering principles.
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
