About the Role The Cutting Operator will operate and monitor Guardian Glass cutting systems, set up schedules, ensure safety, and maintain quality on a rotating 12-hour shift in Richburg, SC. What You'll Do
- Maintain safe work environment by wearing PPE and following safety behaviors; communicate safety concerns to supervisor.
- Enter/download cutting schedules and customer specifications into cutting systems accurately.
- Change and maintain cutting wheels and inserts; adjust to meet specifications.
- Measure and verify glass sizes within tolerances.
- Inspect edge quality and make adjustments as needed.
- Perform routine machine maintenance for efficient operation.
- Handle cut glass safely with PPE and safe work practices.
- Follow work instructions or SOPs and communicate effectively across teams. What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated ability to enter/download schedules into the cutting system.
- Proficient with basic measurement and inspection tools.
- Mechanical aptitude to change/maintain cutting wheels, inserts and adjust to meet specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus. Nice to Have
- Experience with glass cutting equipment or systems.
- One (1) or more years of experience in machine operations.
- Basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on cutting machines or systems. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $21-$23 per hour (USD).
- Pay type: hourly.
- Schedule: rotating 12-hour shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
