Job title: Customs Specialist
About the Role
The Customs Specialist will manage import/export customs clearance, maintain E-logbook system data and ensure compliance with customs policies to support Corning's global supply chain in Shanghai.
What You'll Do
- Daily maintenance of the E-logbook system, including BOM comparison and ERP-based updates; perform monthly system reconciliation between ERP and E-logbook.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of customs laws, tariff policies, AEO compliance and foreign trade regulatory rules to ensure compliant operations.
- Handle import/export customs clearance, verify shipping documents, coordinate with forwarders and brokers for international transportation and clearance status control, and work with relevant departments for shipment delivery; operate the logistics system for declaration data input and filing.
- Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor.
What We're Looking For
- Diploma or above; Customs declaration certificate; CIQ declaration certificate.
- Knowledge of EHS relevant laws and regulations; adherence to all EHS policies.
- 5 years of experience in Import & Export.
- Proficient in English; strong PC skills with common office software.
