About this role
Job title: Customs & Excise Analyst
Responsibilities
- Manage import compliance for raw materials, packaging materials, spare parts and machinery
- Review HS Code classifications, customs valuations and draft assessments
- Coordinate import permits and approvals with NAFDAC, SON, NESREA, NAQS and other regulatory agencies
- Liaise with Customs, regulatory bodies, clearing agents and 3PL providers
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise stakeholders on customs requirements, duty implications and cost-saving opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
- 3–5 years’ experience in Customs, Excise, Trade Compliance or Import Operations
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian Customs regulations, HS Code classification, customs valuation and regulatory compliance
- Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
