About the Role DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a Customs Entry Processing Team Lead to own and manage customer accounts’ daily customs entries from our Laredo, TX location. This role leads a team of Customs Operations Specialists, drives performance, ensures timely clearance, and maintains compliance with internal standards.
What You'll Do
- Direct and coordinate a team of Customs Specialists in daily operations
- Ensure all customs entries are completed timely and efficiently
- Support KPI achievements by conducting performance reviews and evaluating team members
- Manage team productivity and drive efficiency improvements
- Ensure adherence to defined processing standards and compliance
- Oversee account management and delivery against scope; handle escalations
- Identify training needs and develop a highly skilled customs ops team
- Interact with Customer Service, Product, and Global Service Centers as required
- Steer best-shored process elements
What We're Looking For
- Extensive knowledge of customs requirements and processing
- Long-term experience and proven track record in the customs segment
- Experience in people management
- Brokerage license (if applicable)
- Proficient decision making and strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
- Diligent attention to detail
Compensation & Benefits Salary: $20.62 - $27.50 per hour Benefits (All Non-Union Employees): Compensation: Competitive base salary plus role-dependent performance-based incentives.
