Job Description Recruit with Adenike is seeking a skilled Customer Support Specialist with fluency in Igbo to join a fintech company in Ikeja, Lagos. This role is crucial for enhancing user accessibility to digital financial services by translating and localizing app content for Igbo-speaking users.

You will be responsible for accurately translating fintech and app content from English to Igbo, ensuring clarity, grammatical correctness, and consistency. Adapting financial terminology for easy comprehension and providing English back-translations will be key aspects of your work.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate fintech and app content from English into Igbo.
• Proofread translations for accuracy, grammar, clarity, and consistency.
• Adapt financial terminology for easy understanding.
• Provide English back-translations when required.
• Review and update translations based on feedback.
• Support user interviews, usability testing, and research involving Igbo-speaking users.
• Interpret research conversations and communicate user feedback accurately.

Qualifications

• Degree or formal academic training in Igbo, Nigerian Languages, Linguistics, or a related discipline.

• 2–5 years of relevant experience.

• Strong Igbo reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

• Good written and spoken English.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to write clearly in formal Igbo.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

• Interest in fintech, digital products, or financial services is an advantage.

• Willingness to learn and receive feedback.
