Customer Support Account Specialist

We are looking for a Customer Support Account Specialist to support key customer accounts in Rockleigh, New Jersey within the high-tech electronics industry. This Long-term Contract position focuses on delivering responsive account support across the full sales cycle, helping customers and internal teams navigate order activity, service needs, and issue resolution. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing complex account requests, communicating across departments, and ensuring a consistent customer experience from inquiry through fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Build and sustain strong working relationships with major customer accounts while serving as a reliable point of contact for sales and support needs.

• Manage escalated account concerns and coordinate timely resolutions related to orders, returns, shipment status, and logistics matters.

• Provide day-to-day support before and after the sale by partnering with customers and sales teams to keep account activity moving efficiently.

• Investigate order delays, rush requests, tracking questions, and shipping updates, and adjust order details when business needs change.

• Review and maintain account information in company databases, monitor key data points, and prepare reports for customers and internal stakeholders.

• Identify practical solutions to moderately complex service challenges to help maintain smooth account operations and customer satisfaction.

• Communicate with cross-functional teams including fulfillment, production, shipping, finance, technical support, and client-facing groups to resolve issues effectively.

• Represent the organization at trade shows and industry events as needed to support customer engagement and business objectives.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree preferred.

• At least 3 years of experience in customer service, sales support, or account coordination.

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision while managing multiple priorities effectively.

• Experience using enterprise systems such as Oracle or similar business platforms is preferred.

• Intermediate proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, along with collaboration tools such as Teams, Skype, or Zoom.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical or service-related issues clearly.

• Working knowledge of order entry, account support, and customer interaction best practices in a fast-paced environment.

• Proven ability to stay organized, think creatively, and perform well under pressure in a collaborative team setting.
