About the Role The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service and driving daily revenue at the Hertz Rent A Car Lanseria Airport branch, located near central Johannesburg. This position combines frontline rental operations with sales to ensure a smooth customer experience.
What You'll Do
- Rental check-out – sales opportunity
- Standby and changeovers
- Check in of rented vehicles
- Preparing vehicles for rental
- NPS (customer satisfaction) initiatives
- General housekeeping of the branch and vehicles
- Work within a team to deliver high-pressure solutions
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints and requests with problem-solving and professionalism
- Contribute to branch revenue growth through proactive sales and up-selling
- Administrative tasks and maintaining organized records
What We're Looking For
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license (Code 08)
- Previous customer service or car rental experience advantageous
- Cars+ system knowledge advantageous
- Own reliable transport
- Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Well-groomed and presentable
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Meticulous with attention to detail
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Ability to show initiative, be self-motivated, reliable and confident
- Ability to work under pressure
- Basic knowledge of automatic and manual vehicles
- Able to work within a team in high-pressure situations
Nice to Have
- Cars+ system knowledge advantageous
- Prior experience in car rental or hospitality environment
