Customer Service Representative
We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support a fast-paced manufacturing operation in Kentucky on a permanent hire. This permanent opening is a key point of contact for customers, helping ensure orders, delivery requests, and service needs are handled with accuracy and professionalism. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable coordinating with internal teams to deliver a positive customer experience while maintaining detailed records and performance data.
Responsibilities
- Enter customer orders accurately and promptly while coordinating relevant details with internal teams and external contacts.
- Serve as the primary contact for incoming calls and address customer questions, concerns, and service issues with professionalism and urgency.
- Partner with the sales team to share account activity, buying trends, and other insights that support stronger customer relationships.
- Review customer needs on an ongoing basis to confirm expectations, identify service opportunities, and improve overall satisfaction.
- Compile recurring reports and performance data, including tracking information related to sales initiatives and customer activity.
- Communicate regularly with management regarding account updates, service issues, and progress on key tasks.
- Coordinate with scheduling, shipping, and other departments to support delivery timelines, order fulfillment, and customer requirements.
- Maintain quote logs, sales records, and customer account documentation, making timely updates and corrections when needed.
- Monitor open and delayed orders, follow up to resolve issues quickly, and help ensure customers receive accurate status updates.
- Follow workplace safety guidelines consistently and contribute suggestions that support a safer work environment.
Qualifications

Previous experience in customer service, call center support, or a related client-facing role.

Ability to manage order entry tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong verbal and written communication skills for handling inbound calls and coordinating across departments.

Comfortable resolving customer issues in a calm, tactful, and solution-oriented manner.

Proficiency in tracking information through spreadsheets, logs, or similar documentation tools.

Ability to organize multiple priorities, follow through on requests, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Experience working with sales, shipping, or scheduling teams is preferred.
