Job title: Customer Engineering Specialist - Productline Seatbelt (m/f/d)
About the Role The Customer Engineering Specialist acts as the engineering interface for G-OEM and COEM activities from an EU location, supporting RFQ processes, technical changes and project development for Autoliv's Seatbelt product line. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams and the China organization to align customer needs with Autoliv’s roadmap and to promote Autoliv technologies at early stages of GOEM/COEM engagements.
What You'll Do
- Be the primary customer/Autoliv engineering interface for RFQ activities, technical changes, AS100 project support, and development plan support at the local customer site.
- Involve in quotation activities for early involvement in GOEM product strategy and GDP product promotion.
- Foster a closer communication loop between CTC DA & C-OEM EU tech center.
- Collaborate with Autoliv cross-functional teams to resolve customer technical issues efficiently and effectively.
- Support CTC LEC project development issue communications and obtain customer approvals.
- Align customer’s current and future technical and commercial needs with Autoliv’s product roadmap together with the China team.
- Engage early in RFQ phase to promote Autoliv products (e.g., HOD technology) to customers.
- Lead customer communications at the local site and refine product technical solutions with the China team.
- Ensure working practices align with the overarching company and Autoliv China strategy and goals.
- Support C-OEM customer visits to Autoliv; travel locally and internationally (biweekly visits expected).
What We're Looking For
- Major in Mechanics Engineering or Metal Materials.
- Fluent in English.
- Proficient in DFMEA; GD&T; DOE; 8D and know how to apply in projects.
- Experienced in automotive product development.
- Master in problem-solving tools to analyze problems.
- Seatbelts experience, with strong understanding of Electronics & Mechatronics, including HOD.
- Comprehensive understanding of the fast-growing Chinese automotive market and willingness to adapt to working with Chinese OEMs.
- Customer-focused, result-oriented, good negotiation/communication skills, and a global team player.
- Ability to cultivate robust relationships with customer functions and collaborate with internal stakeholders (sales, engineering, quality, etc.).
- Flexible on local and international travel with a high frequency of customer visits; biweekly visits expected.
Nice to Have
- Willingness to travel internationally (including visits to China) on a regular basis.
