Customer Documentation Developer
As a Customer Documentation Developer, the Individual designs, plans, coordinates, writes, and illustrates technical documentation and user guides—covering operational and maintenance information for products, systems, and solutions as web-based publications that may include GUIs and multimedia for both internal and external users.
Your responsibilities
- Develop customer-focused technical documentation for optical networking products.
- Manage documentation schedules and ensure timely releases.
- Collaborate with PLM, R&D, and Test teams for technical content.
- Create and maintain API documentation using authoring tools.
- Support Agile and DevOps documentation workflows.
- Manage content using Jira and Confluence.
- Develop single-source, reusable documentation.
- Improve documentation quality and ensure standards compliance.
Your skills and experience
- You Have:Bachelor's degree with 6–8 years of technical documentation experience, preferably in Optical Networking or Telecommunications.
- Expertise in structured writing, SDLC, and DDLC.
- Proficient in XML authoring tools (Arbortext, Oxygen) and graphic tools (SnagIt, CorelDraw).
- Experience creating and integrating API documentation into customer-facing content.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to independently manage documentation projects and timelines.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Working knowledge of basic UNIX and scripting for interacting with development/test environments.
- Experience with single-sourcing strategies and content management systems for scalable content development.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and DevOps practices, including working knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
