Job Description

Our client, a company operating in the logistics and freight forwarding industry, is seeking a proactive and organized Customer Care Officer to manage customer enquiries, provide shipment updates, and ensure excellent customer service. The successful candidate will coordinate with clients, clearing agents, shipping lines, drivers, and internal teams to facilitate timely communication and smooth service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide regular updates to clients on cargo status, customs clearance, and delivery timelines through phone calls, emails, and WhatsApp.
• Respond to customer enquiries, complaints, and delivery delays promptly and professionally.
• Assist with shipping documentation, tracking numbers, waybills, and service invoices.
• Liaise with operations teams, port clearing agents, and haulage drivers to obtain accurate shipment information.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, feedback, and shipment histories.
• Follow up on pending deliveries and customer concerns to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain professional communication and promote a positive customer experience.

Requirements

• HND or Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, English, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in customer service, customer support, or administrative roles.
• Experience in logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, or maritime operations is an added advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Pidgin.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and messaging applications.
• Ability to learn shipment tracking software and CRM systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, emotional intelligence, and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Must reside in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Compensation

• Monthly salary of ₦80,000–₦120,000.
