About the Role MSOE is seeking a full-time Custodian I on the Custodial Services team for the 1st shift, 4:00am–12:30pm, Monday–Friday. The role supports a clean, safe, welcoming campus environment across classrooms, labs, student spaces, and offices. What You'll Do
- Clean public areas including classrooms, labs, receiving areas, trash rooms, offices, restrooms/showers, hallways, and lobbies.
- Wipe countertops and tables; clean windows; move furniture; clean furniture and decorative objects in common areas.
- Clean restrooms/showers and scrub toilets, sinks, and floors.
- Dispose of trash and recyclables.
- Vacuum carpets; sweep and mop tile floors; clean spills (including biohazardous materials and substances).
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, brooms, mops, moping buckets, automatic scrubbers, carpet extractors, and buffers.
- Lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds, and up to 100 pounds with assistance. What We're Looking For
- Willingness to perform custodial duties campus-wide on a full-time weekday schedule (4:00am–12:30pm).
- 4 weeks paid training upon starting; training hours typically 6am–2:30pm.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds (up to 100 with assistance).

- Starting hourly pay of $18.00 per hour and paid training.
