About the Role Custodian responsible for cleaning facilities at The Arc Otsego in Oneonta, NY. The role involves restocking supplies, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean, safe environment for staff and clients. What You'll Do
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly cleaning of assigned areas using designated chemicals, detergents and equipment to complete tasks as directed.
- Follow required procedures for handling, cleaning and disposing of blood, bodily fluids or infectious materials in accordance with the OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standard and the agency's Exposure Control Plan.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, break rooms, offices, conference rooms, corridors and entryways; tasks include mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, washing windows and sills, and spot cleaning as needed.
- Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas (soap, toilet paper, paper towels, sanitary bags, etc.).
- Maintain the supply closet and equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition; report damage to supervisor and safety issues immediately; communicate cleaning assignments with supervisor/site contact.
- Maintain a professional working habit with adherence to agency policies; note that a two-week notice of voluntary resignation is required. What We're Looking For
- High school diploma/GED or CNA preferred.
- Valid NYS driver's license required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Completion of agency training; able to follow OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen procedures; basic computer timekeeping skills. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $17/hr. Onsite position in Oneonta, NY.
