Custodian Responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy environment for campus buildings to include offices, classrooms, hallways and bathrooms.

Department Maintenance

Classification Full-time; Hourly, Non-Exempt

Essential Functions

• Clean, sanitize and stock bathrooms
• Vacuum, sweep, dust mop all floors
• Empty all trash receptacles
• Clean all glass doors and dust surface areas of buildings
• Change light bulbs as needed
• Strip and wax floors semi-annually
• Shampoo and extract all carpeted areas annually
• Clean chalkboards and whiteboards as needed

Supervisory Responsibility Student workers as needed

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or GED required. Minimum two years custodial experience preferred

Skills Required Working knowledge of cleaning equipment Time management skills

Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to move freely around campus including going up and down stairs Ability to run industrial cleaning equipment Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, climb, etc. on a daily basis
