About this role
A full-time Custodial Worker, Residential at Cleveland State University, located on the Main Campus, is responsible for cleaning assigned work areas such as classrooms, general areas, offices, and restrooms. Tasks include mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing and buffing floors with buffers and floor machines; cleaning carpets with extractors and shampooers; dusting and washing furniture, walls, and window sills; cleaning glass partitions; cleaning sinks, toilets, and urinals; and emptying trash. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Responsibilities
- Clean assigned work areas, including classrooms, general areas, offices, and restrooms
- Mop, vacuum, scrub, and buff floors; operate floor machines and buffers (up to 15 pounds) and, when needed, ultra high-speed machines
- Clean carpets with appropriate equipment such as extractors and shampooers
