Job title: Cultural Advisor (Chinese Mandarin)
About the Role Leidos is seeking a Cultural Advisor with Chinese (Mandarin) language fluency for a role at Lackland AFB, TX. The ideal candidate will possess deep cultural knowledge of Chinese groups and broader Indo-Pacific nuances, with an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
What You'll Do
- Analyze, assess, translate, and communicate complex issues clearly in both verbal and non-verbal forms
- Documentation: draft requirements documents, correspondence, and SOPs per local policies
- Explain complex technical procedures clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Written communication tailored to the audience
- Briefings: prepare and present to military, government, and intelligence stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on open-source research to produce behavioral, social network, and foreign media analyses for trend reports
- Identify information operations opportunities and provide predictive recommendations
- Evaluate classified and unclassified information to understand target audience behavior and trends
What We're Looking For
- ILR 3/3/3 in reading/listening/speaking (testing to verify)
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience; or comparable experience (no less than 4 years) in lieu of degree
- DoD TS clearance with SCI eligibility
- Native or heritage Mandarin Chinese speaker
- Native ability to read, write, and understand standard Mandarin grammar and writing style
- Clear and native Mandarin verbal communication skills in the standard dialect
- Ability to interpret Mandarin idiomatic expressions
- In-depth understanding of Chinese culture and society
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Notes) with advanced Excel data organization skills

- Occasional short-term travel in the Washington Metropolitan area
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $92,300.00 - $166,850.00 per year
