Job title: Culinary Supervisor
About the Role The Culinary Supervisor will oversee the preparation and service of high-quality food and beverages according to company recipes, while supervising food and beverage operations and training kitchen staff. Availability for events and excellent attendance are required.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and supervise the work of kitchen staff
- Prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements; cook meats, soups, and sauces
- Train and supervise kitchen staff; ensure high-quality, fresh food products delivered timely
- Monitor sanitation, health, and safety standards; conduct regular inspections for cleanliness
- Assist with monthly inventory and control of food and labor costs
- Communicate with Executive Chef and Sous Chef to plan menus and estimate food consumption
- Operate standard kitchen equipment (broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, chef's knife)
- Report maintenance needs for kitchen equipment; maintain teamwork and excellent service at events
- Maintain attendance and be available for events; collaborate to ensure delivery of products
What We're Looking For
- Professional training through culinary education or experience in a fast-paced fine dining restaurant or catering facility
- Prior experience in a culinary supervisory capacity in a kitchen
- Ability to supervise kitchen staff and operate standard kitchen equipment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Excellent attendance and reliability
- Knowledge of sanitation, health, and safety standards; valid food handling certificate if required by state/federal regulations
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $28.00-$30.00 per hour (USD)
