Job title: CT/Radiological Technologist
About the Role This position utilizes noninvasive computerized medical technology to take CT scan images, which are used to diagnose, evaluate, and treat a variety of medical issues. This is a PRN/part-time, on-site role based in Chester, Montana.
What You'll Do
- Accurately performs CT examinations according to department protocols and ensures proper techniques per ACR standards and ALARA.
- Completes beginning and end of day duties per department procedures; stocks assigned areas and assists with supply management.
- Maintains radiation and safety protocols; reports malfunctioning equipment and documents safety-related issues.
- Obtains patient history and reason for procedure; evaluates information to ensure appropriate scans for accurate diagnosis; communicates questions as per protocol.
- Responsible for patient preparation, venipuncture techniques, and I-stat competencies as applicable.
- Provides patients with follow-up information and post-exam procedures as applicable; reviews orders, prior exams, labs, and patient history per standards; completes documentation for the exam.
- Maintains regular attendance and can be assigned other duties consistent with knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Works as part of a team and may be asked to support other duties as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Montana State Radiologic Technologist License as required by law.
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) required.
- Current BLS CPR certification required.
- CT registration by ARRT preferred or must be obtained within eighteen (18) months of hire.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, able to work independently or as part of a team; strong critical thinking and prioritization.
- Commitment to confidentiality; excellent verbal and written communication; interpersonal skills and professionalism.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn other software as needed.
Nice to Have
- ARRT CT certification or eligibility with the required timeline.
- Additional experience in venipuncture, I-stat, and familiarity with department-specific procedures.
