Job title: CTE Coordinator/Teacher
About the Role The CTE Coordinator and Teacher supports CRE through developing services for students participating in CRE; works with administrators, student services staff, and teachers to deliver career development services; facilitates linkages with parents, business/industry, postsecondary institutions, and community organizations to support students transitions to postsecondary education and employment; and assists with ensuring program funding and compliance.
Stride K12, a Stride Company, focuses on Education for ANY ONE and provides online options for high-quality, personalized education. This REMOTE role is with Insight School of Oregon (ISOR). ISOR aims to deliver an exemplary educational experience through partnerships and a data-driven instructional model.
This is a full-time REMOTE position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week. Maintain a professional home office and workday (9-5 or 8-4 as defined).
What You'll Do
- Assist students with selection of appropriate academic and CRE courses; coordinate career planning activities in classrooms, groups, or individual sessions; provide and coordinate administration and interpretation of career assessments; provide information on postsecondary education programs and employment opportunities; assist students with postsecondary education and employment opportunities; facilitate work-based learning opportunities; develop activities for students to develop employability skills; promote integration of career research and work-based learning opportunities into CRE and academic courses; promote the use of technology for career planning and research; serve as a liaison with the business, industry, education, and military communities to facilitate partnerships that support CRE; publicize partnership resources; participate in professional development at local, regional, state, and national levels; engage in professional growth to stay current with trends and emerging careers; assist with activities that ensure program funding and compliance.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years of CRE experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience; ability to clear required background check; must have experience teaching Business CTE courses
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations; strong written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience using a student information system (SIS) or other database; Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ability to travel 25% of the time
- Experience as an online/virtual educator; experience with CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organizations)

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $50,000 USD yearly
