About the Role This on-site, PRN CT Scan Technologist position at Logan Health Medical Center in Kalispell, MT utilizes noninvasive CT imaging technology to capture detailed scans used for diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment. You will work with a collaborative team in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment and gain valuable skills while contributing to high-quality patient care.
What You'll Do
- Perform accurate CT examinations, ensuring techniques align with ACR standards and ALARA principles.
- Manage patient history and ensure proper preparation for exams.
- Administer venipuncture techniques and maintain I-stat competencies.
- Communicate with patients to ensure they understand the procedure and post-exam instructions.
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and proper stock management in the department.
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety concerns per department protocols.
- Complete beginning and end of day duties as defined in department procedures and assist with supply management as needed.
- Obtain patient history, reason for procedure, and other exam-related information to ensure proper scanning for accurate diagnosis.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program (required).
- Montana State Radiologic Technologist License (required).
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the ARRT (required).
- Current BLS CPR certification (required).
- Current Computed Tomography (CT) certification by ARRT is preferred, or must be successfully obtained within 18 months of hire (required).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for patient care and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
Nice to Have
- ARRT CT certification is preferred or must be obtained within eighteen (18) months of hire.
