CT Scan Technologist

About the Role Under the direction of the CT/X-Ray Manager, CT/X-Ray Supervisor, and CT Clinical Director, the CT technologist is responsible for performing all technical procedures within CT and delivering safe, high-quality imaging. The role supports departmental education, QA/QI activities, and collaboration with imaging professionals, nursing, and providers to advance patient care and cancer research. What You'll Do

• Perform all technical procedures within CT per departmental policies and protocols, ensuring high-quality patient scans.
• Establish intravenous access and administer imaging contrast agents as directed by protocol under radiologist supervision.
• Ensure imaging systems operate at established standards, perform routine quality control, and participate in QA/QI initiatives.
• Maintain patient, staff, and environmental safety; adhere to infection control and HIPAA guidelines; communicate with patients compassionately about procedures.
• Manage imaging datasets (transfer, archive, retrieval) and maintain accurate records using scheduling and EMR systems.
• Collaborate with Imaging professionals, nursing, providers, and researchers to support institutional goals and research activities.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to work with diverse teams.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to interact professionally with patients and colleagues.
• Experience performing CT imaging, IV access, and safe administration of contrast agents; familiarity with radiation safety and regulatory requirements (e.g., ACR).
• Understanding of HIPAA, infection control, QA/QI concepts, and proper data/documentation practices.
• Ability to operate imaging equipment, perform basic QC, and work with EMR systems and PACS as required.
• Availability for weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday, 8-hour shifts). Nice to Have
• Experience in a high-volume oncology imaging department or Dana-Farber/Harvard-affiliated settings.
• Strong teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: $109,096.00 - $129,594.40 per year USD.
