CSC Technician

CSC Technician - Rock Hill, SC

We are looking for a CSC Technician for our Rock Hill, SC facility. In this role you will focus primarily on new PVD/PACVD coating applications, customer sampling, coating modifications, process development, superior technical solutions and analysis. This position is accountable for supporting projects to accomplish technical initiatives aligned with the Components coating business. The CSC Technician converts strategic customer needs into safe, commercially viable, high-quality solutions that meet cost and timing targets.

Your Responsibilities

• Sampling (Prototyping) of customer components for Product Families Automotive & Precision Components
• Execution of sampling full process including standardized documentation according to the Oerlikon GATE process
• Support Project Management in the realization phase of Automotive, Medical and Aerospace projects
• Supports engineering work at a local level to execute new coating recipes and processes specific to the different market segments.
• Support the process of qualification/acceptance testing of new process equipment for Automotive and Precision Components market segments.
• Performing quality measurements according to customer specifications and documenting results
• Carrying out batch to batch operational support on coating systems
• Gives input on improvements to existing production processes and procedures in collaboration with CSC Project Managers, Operations, and Quality
• Co-development of coating processes and new tribological coating systems up to production release
• Follows the Oerlikon Balzers GATE {Global Access to Efficiency} processes and documentation.
• Work closely with the sales team which acts as a liaison between Oerlikon and the customer base
