About the Role
The Arc Melt Furnace ABJ-900-3 with Crystal Growth option is a high-capacity crystal growth system designed for Czochralski pulling. It supports three simultaneous arcs, a 9-inch hearth, and programmable pulling speeds as low as 0.001 mm/min to grow single crystals of semiconductors, metals, salts, and synthetic gemstones at temperatures up to 3500°C.
What You'll Do
- Operate and maintain the Arc Melt Furnace ABJ-900-3, including managing three arcs in multiple locations, controlling pulling speed and seed-rod rotation, and loading/unloading the 9-inch hearth.
- Configure crystal growth runs by attaching seed rods, initiating the seed pull, and adjusting rotation to achieve desired crystal growth.
- Monitor system parameters, perform safety checks, and document growth runs and outcomes.
- Troubleshoot heating, arc control, and material handling issues; ensure process repeatability and safety compliance.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with high-temperature crystal growth equipment or similar arc-melting/Crystallization systems.
- Knowledge of the Czochralski method and crystal pulling parameters (pull rate, seed rod rotation, seed placement).
- Ability to program and monitor precise speeds using the furnace control system (as low as 0.001 mm/min).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with 9-inch hearths and seed rods; ability to handle heavy equipment; safety-conscious.
- Background in materials science, metallurgy, semiconductor fabrication, or synthetic gemstone growth.
Nice to Have
- Experience with arc melting furnaces or multi-arc processing.
- Experience with growing single crystals of semiconductors, metals, salts, or gemstones.
- Familiarity with 3500°C processing and high-temperature furnace maintenance.
